Brutus and his follows of the chivalric code

The code of chivalry includes honor, chastity, loyalty, courage, honesty, and courtesy. The character Brutus from the play ‘Julius Caesar’ follows some of the chivalric code. For honor, because he always tries to do things honorably he fits in the trait of honor. Secondly, chastity he doesn’t follow him. Since he was married this shows that he doesn’t have chastity. Thirdly, for loyalty he kind of follows it. Although he wasn’t loyal to his king Caesar and killed him, he was loyal to his country Rome. Fourthly, for courage, he defiantly had it because no one would have had any courage to kill their own king of the country. Fifthly, he didn’t follow the trait honesty. He wasn’t honest to his wife and the king and lied to both of them. Lastly, for courtesy I don’t think he followed courtesy because he killed the king, and was arrogant to the commoners. Therefore, I don’t think that Brutus follows the code of chivalry well.
